Fold Technologies Customer Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 16, 2026

These Customer Terms of Service and User Agreement (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Fold Technologies website, customer accounts, ordering platform, payment features, pickup and delivery coordination, and related services.

By creating an account, selecting “I agree,” placing an order, or otherwise using the Fold platform, you agree to these Terms and Fold’s Privacy Policy.

1. About Fold

Fold Technologies (“Fold,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a technology marketplace that connects customers with independently owned and operated laundromats that provide wash-and-fold services.

Fold is not itself a laundromat and does not ordinarily wash, dry, or fold customers’ laundry. Laundry services are performed by the independent laundromat selected through the platform.

The term “Laundry Provider” means the independent laundromat that accepts and fulfills a customer’s order.

2. Eligibility and Customer Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to independently create an account or place an order. A person under 18 may use Fold only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree to provide accurate and current information, including your:

Full name;

Email address;

Phone number; and

Pickup or delivery address.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account. Notify Fold promptly at contact@yeahfold.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Fold’s Marketplace Role

Fold provides technology that allows customers to:

Browse participating Laundry Providers;

Review available service options;

Submit wash-and-fold orders;

Arrange pickup, drop-off, and delivery where available;

Make electronic payments; and

Receive order updates.

Each Laundry Provider is an independent business and is responsible for the laundry services it performs, including washing, drying, folding, handling instructions, available detergent options, service timing, and item-care decisions.

Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, agency, or joint-venture relationship between Fold and a Laundry Provider.

4. Laundry Provider Information and Policies

Before placing an order, customers should review the Laundry Provider’s displayed:

Prices and fees;

Estimated completion or delivery time;

Detergent and washing options;

Cancellation policy;

Refund or account-credit policy;

Lost or damaged-item policy; and

Other service limitations.

These policies may differ among Laundry Providers.

The Laundry Provider’s applicable policies should be shown or linked before checkout. New York guidance states that online retailers must display or link applicable refund policies before a customer completes a transaction.

5. Orders

Submitting an order is a request for services and does not guarantee acceptance.

An order becomes confirmed after it is accepted through the platform. A Laundry Provider may reject, modify, reschedule, or cancel an order because of availability, capacity, unsafe items, incorrect information, location restrictions, operational problems, or other reasonable causes.

Customers must review the Laundry Provider, address, service selections, estimated price, and order instructions before confirming an order.

6. Pricing

Each Laundry Provider may establish its own laundry-service prices, minimum-order amounts, detergent options, turnaround options, and related charges.

Fold or the Laundry Provider may also charge disclosed platform, pickup, delivery, service, processing, cancellation, or redelivery fees.

All available prices and estimated charges will be displayed during the ordering process before the customer confirms payment. A price initially shown as an estimate may change when the Laundry Provider determines the laundry’s actual weight, amount, or selected services.

No undisclosed charge will be intentionally added after checkout.

7. Payments

Fold may accept eligible payment methods including:

American Express;

Mastercard;

Visa;

Apple Pay; and

Google Pay.

Payment availability may depend on the customer’s device, location, card issuer, and payment processor.

By placing an order, you authorize Fold and its payment-processing providers to charge the selected payment method for the disclosed order total and any additional charge you later approve.

Fold does not directly store complete payment-card numbers when payments are handled by an outside payment processor.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Each Laundry Provider establishes the cancellation and refund policy applicable to its orders. Customers must review that policy before checkout.

Questions or requests involving the quality of laundry processing, missing garments, damaged garments, re-cleaning, service refunds, or Laundry Provider credits should first be submitted to the Laundry Provider through the Fold platform.

Fold may assist with communication and dispute review but does not guarantee that a Laundry Provider will approve a refund, credit, reimbursement, or re-cleaning request.

Nothing in this section limits a customer’s rights under applicable law or Fold’s responsibility for an incorrect platform charge or another issue directly caused by Fold.

9. Missed Pickup, Failed Delivery, and Redelivery Fee

Customers must provide correct address information, reasonable access instructions, and a safe location for pickup or delivery.

A fee of up to $20 may be charged when a pickup or delivery cannot be completed because:

The customer is unavailable;

The laundry is not ready;

The supplied address is incorrect;

Required building access is unavailable;

A driver cannot safely enter or complete the delivery; or

Another pickup or delivery attempt is required.

The applicable fee must be disclosed before it is charged. Fold or the Laundry Provider may waive the fee depending on the circumstances.

10. Laundry Preparation

Customers are responsible for:

Emptying all pockets;

Removing valuables and personal belongings;

Separating items that should not be included;

Identifying special-care concerns; and

Providing accurate washing instructions through the options offered by the Laundry Provider.

Do not include money, jewelry, electronics, identification, keys, medication, sharp objects, flammable materials, hazardous substances, illegal materials, or items that could damage equipment or other laundry.

A Laundry Provider may reject unsafe or unsuitable items.

11. Detergent and Service Preferences

Available detergent, fragrance, temperature, fabric-softener, bleach, separation, and allergy-sensitive options are determined by each Laundry Provider.

Customers must select from the options displayed for that provider. Fold does not guarantee that every provider offers the same options.

The Laundry Provider is responsible for following the service selections transmitted with the accepted order, subject to reasonable operational and safety limitations.

12. Completion and Delivery Estimates

The Laundry Provider will display an estimated turnaround or delivery time when available.

All stated times are estimates unless expressly identified as guaranteed. Timing may be affected by order size, provider capacity, traffic, weather, building access, customer availability, or other conditions outside reasonable control.

Customers will receive available order updates through the website, email, text message, or another enabled communication method.

13. Lost or Damaged Items

The Laundry Provider’s lost-or-damaged-item policy applies to claims involving garments handled by that provider.

Customers should report a missing or damaged item as soon as reasonably possible through the Fold platform and within the reporting period shown by the Laundry Provider.

A report may require:

The order information;

A description of the item;

Photographs;

Proof of ownership or purchase, when available; and

Information about the item’s age and condition.

The Laundry Provider will determine whether it offers re-cleaning, repair, replacement value, reimbursement, or account credit under its displayed policy.

Fold may facilitate the claim and preserve available order records. Fold remains responsible for issues directly caused by its own conduct where required by applicable law.

14. Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive necessary service communications, such as:

Account-verification messages;

Order confirmations;

Pickup and delivery updates;

Receipts;

Security notices; and

Customer-support communications.

Marketing communications are separate. Where required, Fold will request consent before sending marketing texts or emails, and customers may unsubscribe from those messages.

15. Customer Conduct

Customers may not:

Use Fold for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;

Submit false account, order, address, or payment information;

Access another customer’s account;

Abuse refunds, credits, promotions, or disputes;

Threaten, discriminate against, or harass drivers, Laundry Providers, workers, or customers;

Interfere with the operation or security of the platform; or

Submit unsafe or prohibited materials.

Fold may restrict or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

16. Promotions and Credits

Promotions and Fold-issued credits may have separate eligibility requirements, expiration dates, and usage restrictions.

Unless otherwise stated, promotions and credits:

Have no cash value;

Cannot be sold or transferred;

May be limited to one account or household; and

May be canceled if obtained through fraud or misuse.

17. Platform Availability

Fold aims to keep the platform available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

Fold may modify, suspend, or discontinue part of the platform for maintenance, security, legal, technical, or business reasons.

18. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Fold platform is provided on an “as available” basis.

Fold does not guarantee:

That every Laundry Provider will accept every order;

Exact completion or delivery times;

The complete removal of stains;

The availability of a particular detergent option; or

That third-party services will always be uninterrupted.

These disclaimers do not remove rights or warranties that cannot legally be waived.

19. Limitation of Fold’s Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fold is not responsible for the independent Laundry Provider’s performance of wash-and-fold services or for ordinary disputes governed by that provider’s properly disclosed policies.

Fold may still be responsible for losses directly caused by Fold’s own breach, misconduct, incorrect platform charge, or other conduct for which liability cannot legally be excluded.

Fold will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages where such limitations are legally permitted.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

20. Account Suspension or Termination

Fold may suspend or terminate an account for:

Fraud or suspected fraud;

Payment disputes or chargebacks;

Unsafe behavior;

Harassment;

Repeated policy violations;

Unauthorized access; or

Conduct that threatens the platform or its users.

Customers may request account closure by contacting contact@yeahfold.com.

21. Privacy

Fold’s collection and use of personal information are governed by its separate Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy should be available during account creation and should explain how Fold handles account details, addresses, order history, communications, payment-related information, cookies, and information shared with Laundry Providers and delivery partners.

22. Changes to These Terms

Fold may update these Terms as the platform develops.

The updated version will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. Where required, Fold will provide additional notice or obtain renewed agreement before materially changed Terms apply.

23. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, except where another law must apply.

Any legal action that may properly be brought in court will be handled by a court with lawful jurisdiction in New York, unless applicable consumer law permits or requires a different location.

This section does not add mandatory arbitration. Do not add an arbitration clause or class-action waiver without having a lawyer write and review it.
